WHAT’S YOUR TIPICO STORY?
Directly after my apprenticeship, I joined Tipico in 2013. Starting as a small company, I saw the complete development of the company into a professional group. Starting as a technical support, I built up today's retail training department and I am proud to be responsible for this department today.
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION OF TIPICO?
My first experience was that as a small team we wanted to achieve a lot quickly and were able to do so. No matter what we had previously experienced or where we came from - we all had the same goal: to make Tipico big. Over the years, we have grown from adventurous teenagers to respected adults. I find it impressive how diverse Tipico is and I enjoy working with different teams from different places.
WHAT HAVE BEEN YOUR BEST MOMENTS WORKING HERE?
I don't really need to mention here that I love the events and workshops we do together - One of the best moments was that Tipico always stood by our side even in difficult times (during Covid) and did everything to ensure that employees were given the feeling of safety. The fact that we were able to lay the foundation for our future concession for the German market during this time made me more than proud. It fills me with pride to see how my team members are passionate in their daily work and how they all have the same will to push this company forward - keep it up!
WHAT CHALLENGES DO YOU FACE?
In all these years there have been many challenges where I was thinking again and again: How is this going to continue? What always helped me in this situations: I trusted that our managers had made the right decision. As part of this great team, we have always found a way to adapt even in difficult situations. For us, no journey was too far and it was never too late for change.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT TIPICO?
Working at a company where you look forward to going to work, is special about Tipico. Over the years, I have always experienced respectful interaction between colleagues and managers. I am a good example that even after several years in the same company, I am genuinely excited about going to work.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY PITCH LOOK LIKE?
There is no such thing as a typical working day - and that's what makes it interesting. Often driven by external changes, you have to be adaptable in the retail sector. Together with my team, we try to bring the feeling of “maximise Spannung” into the shops through our training courses.
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO?
I am excited to see how my team approach things, how they think and how they learn new skills in the future. In addition, I want to learn how I can support them on this path and how I can support them in their professional development.
AS YOU KNOW WE LOVE SPORTS.. WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE?
My favorite sport is american football. When we are in the NFL season, I look forward to the redzone every Sunday! In american football, anything can happen and a game can go in a different direction in a couple of minutes. That's what makes it so extremely hard to predict. You can try and bet on it ;)
