WHAT’S YOUR TIPICO STORY?

While studying mechanical engineering, a friend of mine mentioned that he had landed a student position at an iGaming company based in Slavonski Brod. Intrigued by the fact that such a company was operating nearby, I did some research. Being both a sports and tech enthusiast, I decided to apply—and soon after, I was hired as a Live Trading Specialist (student), a role I held for the next four years.

After graduating, I continued my journey with Tipico, transitioning into Risk Analysis. Just a few months later, my passion for data was recognized, and today, I’m working as a Risk Intelligence Analyst.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION OF TIPICO?

I remember walking into the building for the first time and being amazed by the sight of so many iGaming experts, all multitasking across so many screens. It left a strong impression on me. Not long after, I found myself behind six screens—and it felt great.

I also noticed that the company was filled with young, enthusiastic people who shared a passion for sports, betting, and technology. That energy motivated me to stay, even after graduating in a completely different field.

WHAT HAVE BEEN YOUR BEST MOMENTS WORKING HERE?

It's really hard for me to pinpoint exact moments that I would consider the best, but for me, it's all about the people. Meeting so many different people—some of whom have become lifelong friends.

Let's also not forget the amazing End Of Year parties, which definitely deserve a mention among my best moments so far but along with many others.

WHAT CHALLENGES DO YOU FACE?

In Risk Analysis and Intelligence, one of the biggest challenges is the ever-evolving landscape of customer behavior. There is a constant race—while some customers explore system vulnerabilities, we work to continuously refine our products and processes.

Fortunately for me, our team is made up of experts who make my job (and all of ours) much easier.

WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT TIPICO?

Once again, I would say the people. In my opinion, a company's true strength lies in its lifeware, and Tipico is no exception. I've had the opportunity to travel to our different Tipico locations and meet many of our team members, which has only reinforced my belief that we are set for even greater success.

I also truly appreciate Tipico’s support for personal growth. This is a fantastic place to develop yourself in the direction you wish to go, and in my case, Tipico has had my back every step of the way – through education, mentorship, patience and proper reward system.

WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY PITCH LOOK LIKE?

The most interesting part of my job is that every day is different, bringing new challenges which keep me engaged. However, there are still some established daily tasks and personal routines.

I start my day by catching up on unread emails, Jira ticket updates, and missed Slack messages – alongside a cup of coffee, of course! Next, I monitor our morning data flows and processes to ensure everything is running smoothly. After that, I review my meeting schedule and plan my day accordingly.

With so many ongoing projects aimed at improving workflows and optimizing efficiency, the biggest part of my day is dedicated to developing new features in our Risk setup – like creating self-service datasets for our Bookmaking teams, designing and implementing tools to automate our daily operations

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO?

Within our dynamic industry, things change often, so I’d say the future looks bright. There are many things I’m looking forward to, one of which is the new alerting platform. This will allow us to provide near real-time alerts to our teams more efficiently, faster, and with greater flexibility than ever before.

I’m also excited about expanding the team with other data-driven professionals, which will further strengthen our technical capabilities and drive even more growth.

AS YOU KNOW WE LOVE SPORTS.. WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE?

I've loved watching football since I was a kid, growing up with my older brother and father—both huge football fans. However, I’m not much of a footballer myself. I used to play tennis, and now I really enjoy playing padel.

However, the number one sport in my heart has to be skiing—it’s probably my favorite activity at the moment.

WHAT IS YOUR ONE PIECE OF ADVICE FOR ANYONE INTERESTED IN BEING PART OF OUR GAME

It’s not about the school you attended or the experience you have—what truly matters is your passion for what we do and the motivation to keep learning.
