WHAT’S YOUR TIPICO STORY?
I moved to Malta two years ago and joined Tipico in December 2023 as a Verification Agent. After just 10 months, I applied for a promotion to AML Analyst, and I got it! Since August, I’ve been working with the fantastic AML team, and it’s been an exciting new chapter in my career.
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION OF TIPICO?
Although Tipico wasn’t my first experience in the iGaming industry, it has certainly been the best! Right from the start, I was impressed by the welcoming environment and the strong company culture. The dedication and passion people bring to their work every day have been a huge inspiration to me. It motivates me to keep pushing forward, constantly improving, and giving my best.
WHAT HAVE BEEN YOUR BEST MOMENTS WORKING HERE?
One of my proudest moments was transitioning from a Verification Agent to an AML Analyst. It felt like a true testament to the fact that hard work and passion don’t go unnoticed here. That moment validated my efforts and proved that with determination, anyone can achieve success.
WHAT CHALLENGES DO YOU FACE?
The Euro Cup period was a particularly challenging time for my previous team. For three months, we were working tirelessly, facing long, stressful days. But we pulled through together, thanks to our amazing team leaders who kept us motivated and made sure we felt appreciated.
Now, as an AML Analyst, the biggest challenge is keeping up with the constantly evolving techniques of money laundering. Fraudsters are getting more sophisticated, often manipulating data to evade detection. Sometimes, it's not just about the data—it’s about trusting your instincts to catch what’s not easily visible.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT TIPICO?
There’s so much that makes Tipico special, but for me, it’s the people and the culture. The teams here are incredibly diverse and multicultural, which makes for a vibrant and supportive workplace. Everyone is respectful, kind, and always willing to lend a hand—even if they’ve only met you once.
I also love how the culture is part of daily life here. Passion drives everyone to keep improving and reaching new goals, always with transparency, trust, and respect for both colleagues and clients.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY PITCH LOOK LIKE?
As an AML Analyst, my main goal is to safeguard the company from fraudulent activities and ensure our customers' security. Every day, I review customer profiles and transactions, looking for any suspicious activity. I make sure every action we take complies with regulations.
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO?
I’m eager to continue growing both personally and professionally. This new role has opened doors for me to expand my knowledge and skills within the iGaming industry. I’m excited to learn more, take on new challenges, and contribute even more to the team.
AS YOU KNOW WE LOVE SPORTS.. WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE?
I’m really passionate about yoga and fitness classes! After a day at the desk, I make it a point to go to yoga classes weekly. It’s the perfect way to de-stress, stretch out, and reset my mind for the next day. Yoga is my go-to for staying grounded and energized.
