WHAT’S YOUR TIPICO STORY?
I started working at Tipico three years ago. Before moving to Germany, I was in Turkey working on a B2B product that relied heavily on data, infrastructure, and backend-oriented problem‑solving. When I relocated, I wanted to challenge myself with something different - a customer‑facing product where the impact of my work is visible and immediate. Tipico offered exactly that. Since joining, I’ve had the chance to collaborate with incredibly talented colleagues across different teams and disciplines. I’ve learned a lot, grown as a product manager, and continued finding new motivation in the fast-paced environment we operate in.
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION OF TIPICO?
My first impression was genuine surprise at how agile Tipico is. Considering the size of the company, the number of departments,and how established it is as a market leader, I didn’t expect things to move so quickly and smoothly. But Tipico has a strong “get things done” mindset.
WHAT HAVE BEEN YOUR BEST MOMENTS WORKING HERE?
Some of the most rewarding moments happen when you finally see customers interacting with features that were just ideas months ago. Watching something you planned, discussed, refined, and delivered actually make a difference for real users is incredibly motivating. Another thing I really appreciate is witnessing how our tech teams approach difficult problems. I am still often amazed by their ability to come up with fast, elegant, and state‑of‑the‑art solutions, even under pressure or tight timelines.
WHAT CHALLENGES DO YOU FACE?
There are challenges mostly caused by the nature of software development and also due to the highly regulated market we operate in. But one thing I value here is that you never face these challenges alone.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT TIPICO?
There are many great things about working at Tipico, but the people truly stand out. The level of responsiveness, knowledge, and willingness to help is exceptional. Whenever you need information, guidance, or support to move something forward, there is always someone ready to step in. This collaborative culture makes even tough days much easier.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY PITCH LOOK LIKE?
Doing whatever it takes to move our projects from idea to production. This requires lots of meetings, slack messages, short calls with Management, UX, Business and Technical Teams that are happening frequently. I also keep an eye on production to make sure our features are working as expected.
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO?
From a business perspective, I’m excited about several very cool features on our roadmap. I believe they will influence our product performance both in the short term and in the long run. On a personal note, I am also working on improving my German, and I’m looking forward to reaching a new level of confidence in the language.
AS YOU KNOW WE LOVE SPORTS… WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE?
I’ve always enjoyed team sports, both watching and playing. I played handball for many years in my school team. But football has always been my absolute favorite - it’s the sport I follow the most and the one I enjoy playing. Now I started engaging in light football activities with my little one.
WHAT IS YOUR ONE PIECE OF ADVICE FOR ANYONE INTERESTED IN BEING PART OF OUR GAME?
Even if you don’t have betting experience or feel you’re missing a few technical skills, I would still strongly encourage you to apply. Tipico is like the 2009 Barcelona team. It works like a perfect machine where people help each other and win because of teamwork. As long as you are passionate, curious, and motivated, you can gain domain knowledge fast and become a valuable part of us.
