Learning by Doing: AWS GameDay

The best way to learn something new is often to jump in and start building. 

Sometimes, they come from tackling challenges as a team and figuring things out along the way. 

That's what our team experienced at AWS GameDay, a hands-on workshop focused on Generative AI. Participants worked together to solve a series of business challenges using Amazon Bedrock and other AWS services. 

From improving AI-powered chatbots to building image-generation solutions, each quest encouraged teams to experiment, collaborate, and apply new ideas in a practical setting. A live leaderboard added a competitive edge, keeping the energy high throughout the day. 

As one participant shared: 

"I really enjoyed the AWS GameDay because it made learning about Generative AI feel practical and engaging rather than purely theoretical. Working through the quests gave me a better understanding of how GenAI can be applied to real problems, while the live leaderboard added a competitive element that kept my team and me motivated throughout the event." 

The day was a chance to learn something new, share knowledge, and explore emerging technologies together, when curiosity and collaboration come together, learning becomes much more than theory.
