WHAT’S YOUR TIPICO STORY?

I joined Tipico in 2022, shortly after graduating from university. During my studies, I spent nearly five years working for a software consulting firm, gaining valuable experience. When I discovered that Tipico was hiring for developer positions, I explored the opportunity further and quickly realized it was the perfect fit. The role aligned with my interests and background, and the technology and domain genuinely excited me. That’s when I knew Tipico was the right step for my future career.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION OF TIPICO?

From my very first interaction, Tipico struck me as highly professional. I was treated with respect, and the interview process was clear and transparent. After meeting some of my future colleagues, I knew this was where I wanted to be. Receiving the offer was a moment of relief and excitement, and I gladly accepted.

WHAT HAVE BEEN YOUR BEST MOMENTS WORKING HERE?

There have been many great moments, especially the celebrations after achieving something we’ve worked hard for. But what I value most are the everyday moments of collaboration, tackling challenging problems with team members, and finding solutions that truly make a difference.

WHAT CHALLENGES DO YOU FACE?

Projects don’t always go as planned, especially when requirements change or gaps in our code are discovered close to the deadline. These moments can be challenging, as we need to quickly find solutions to overcome the obstacles. Fortunately, we always receive the support we need from management and stakeholders—whether it’s through additional funding, bringing in extra team members, or adjusting the project scope to ensure a successful outcome.

WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT TIPICO?

What makes Tipico special is the trust and independence we have as a team. We receive requirements and priorities from management, but from that point on, we have full ownership of how to execute them. This freedom makes the work exciting and gives us plenty of opportunities for growth.

Something else that stands out, is the diversity. My team is made up of people from all around the world, yet we collaborate seamlessly, bringing different perspectives and strengths together.

WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY PITCH  LOOK LIKE?

Like many software development teams, we follow the Scrum framework, so a typical day kicks off with our daily stand-up, where we discuss progress and priorities. Beyond that, each day brings new challenges, whether it's supporting other teams, responding to incidents, or exploring potential technical improvements to advance our product.

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO?

I look forward to the continuous evolution of our work as new projects arise and the market shifts. At Tipico, change is constant, and I love how we regularly reassess and refine our processes and strategies. It keeps things dynamic and challenging, offering endless opportunities for growth.

AS YOU KNOW WE LOVE SPORTS.. WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE?

I recently got into cycling and love pushing myself to improve my fitness and pace. I also enjoy running, it’s rewarding to see quick progress and feel the positive impact on my overall health.

WHAT IS YOUR ONE PIECE OF ADVICE FOR ANYONE INTERESTED IN BEING PART OF OUR GAME?

We’re looking for people who are passionate about their field and eager to learn and grow. Strong communication and teamwork matter more than a perfect CV. If you can collaborate effectively and bring a positive mindset, you’ll fit right in.
